Coldest Night of the Year
Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a nationwide, family-friendly fundraising walk held in cities and towns across Canada. Each year, thousands of Canadians bundle up and walk together to show compassion for those experiencing homelessness, poverty, and hurt in their own communities. It’s more than just a walk—it’s a chance to step into someone else’s shoes, spark important conversations, and raise funds that stay local to make a real difference.
Next walk is February 28, 2026!

The Coldest Night of the Year is a time when Canadians step out of the warmth of their homes to bring light, welcome, and inclusion to their communities.
February 28, 2026, we’ll walk together through the cold and dark standing with those who face the harsh realities of homelessness, hunger, and isolation.
We walk for families struggling to keep food on the table.
We walk for those forced from their homes by violence or abuse.
We walk for people whose nights are heavy with fear, loneliness, or despair.
And we walk knowing that any one of us could face the same struggles.
Every step we take helps provide safety, nourishment, and hope. Together, we’re raising vital funds for local organizations that support vulnerable individuals and families and change lives.
